IBM logo | silver logo with black text |
metal steel back case (see photo #15) | |
cable | attached, black coiled cable, XT 5-pin DIN connector |
condition | Keyboard in very good condition, but I would consider it to be used equipment due to exterior condition of box and some light dust on cable and internal keyboard surfaces. Â Has a dark scratch / (burn mark?) in lower left front corner of case that is not easily removable by cleaning products. (see last photo) Keyboard tested and fully validated to working 100% using Hagstrom’s XT to ps/2 keyboard encoder and on my IBM PC XT. |
key switches | VERY clicky = buckling spring |
condition | Requires use of additional XT to AT converter/adapter in order to work with modern PCs link |
comments | Metal bottom plate with 2 out of 4 original cork pads.  Keyboard cable in very good coiled condition. Overall very good condition for a keyboard that is 37-39 years old. Keyboard tested and fully validated to working condition using Hagstrom’s XT to ps/2 keyboard encoder and on an amber screen IBM PC XT. |
