date
approximately 1984 - 1985
IBM logo
black text on silver logo
cable
attached, straight cable, AT connector (can work with modern ps/2 system with addition of $3.00 adapter)
key caps
removable as one piece
key switches
VERY clicky = buckling spring
grade
A++ (brand NEW in original box, item still in original plastic wrap with styrofoam packaging in very good condition). Extremely rare. I have not seen another one like it in anyone else’s collection.
condition
The keyboard that started it all. Do not confuse this with an IBM XT keyboard, which will not work. This is an original IBM AT keyboard that will still work with any modern PC system (use AT to ps/2 adapter).
comments
Mechanical key switches are VERY clicky (more so than IBM model M)
