Here is an interesting find. It appears to be a brand new 1988 IBM model M 1391401 keyboard. Keyboard is in excellent 100% perfect condition and appears to have never been used. Inside plastic surfaces are very clean and still have original factory shine.

The exterior packaging is curious though. It looks like packaging that I’ve previously seen with 1986 and 1987 IBM model M 1390120 keyboards.. but this packaging does not have any specific ID information that would link it to 1988 keyboard. However, I think it very likely that this keyboard matches the original packaging. Item was recently in IBM parts depot warehouse in New York and has likely been sitting in storage shelf for 16 years.

A very good buy for those looking for brand new 1391401 keyboard, but you are not specifically concerned about appearance of exterior packaging.
